[January 19] |
So, like Stephen's already said, we're getting ready to head off to Egypt for two weeks. I'm taking my journal with me -- unlike Stephen -- but the odds of me actually using it while on holiday are very slim. It's mostly for emergencies.
Have a good rest of the month!

Year: 2004 Age: 24 How was your birthday this year? I think I spent it working, to be honest. It wasn't too bad, though. Make any new friends? Actually, I reunited with some of my old friends. Lose any friends? Probably. Politics was pretty terrible for my personal relationships. And how was the world of romance for you this year? Surprisingly not bad. In fact, it was really good. I never Occupation: Residence: The same flat I've had for two years now, but I did Pets: No. Get any taller? No. I'm still a sad 5'5". Hairstyle for the year? Style? It's just long. I think I wore more chignons that usual, though. What did you do for New Year's? Last year, I burnt the midnight oil. I was in the middle of working on the Werewolf Sanctuary. What did you do for Valentine's Day? I... got caught by those silly arrows, actually. Not my best day. What did you do for St. Patrick's Day? Finishing touches on the Werewolf Sanctuary. Wow, I really was What did you do for Easter? I can't remember actually. A lot of days sort of blended together. Where did you go on Summer Holiday? I didn't. What did you dress as for Halloween? We went as Antony and Cleopatra. What did you get for Christmas? Visited papa and Parvati, then visited Stephen's family. What are your plans for this New Year? We had a quiet evening in, actually. After the tsunami, neither of us were feeling up to a party. Who are you going to kiss at midnight? Stephen. I'm pretty sure there was some kissing invol How do you want the new year to be different from this one? A little less work, to be honest. How do you want the new year to be the same as this one? Just as busy, and, of course, with Stephen.

[December 11] |
You know what's exciting? Just in time for Christmas, I'm no longer a public official! I still work at the Werewolf Sanctuary, but I can talk about whatever I want in my journal, and I'm not always on the clock anymore. I can talk about my boyfriend, and how I love to cuddle with him. I can commit to going carolling without worrying that I'll have to cancel because of my schedule.
And jokes! I can make jokes without worrying if it's going to come back to bite me.
This is so exciting!

[November 12] |
A month ago, if you told me that I would be this much in love with my room-mate and close friend Stephen Cornfoot, I would have completely panicked. I mean, we dated in school, and I loved him then. But then I had to be selfish and run off to Germany, and by then, it was too hard to really keep the relationship up. I take full responsibility for it, no matter what Stephen might say.
Anyway, a few weeks ago, Stephen "twisted my arm" into going to the Equinox Festival with him (and several of our other close friends). I had a little too much meade -- which is really overwhelming until you've had a few too many of them; then it's delicious -- and he had a little too much to drink, and long story short, we ended up shagging on my living room floor. Of course, the next morning, we both panicked. That was a really hard two weeks, being that close to Stephen and not being able to talk to him.
Then his father came to the werewolf sanctuary, and I'm not even going to get into that because it's a whole other ball of yarn that I'm not really thinking about at the moment. Mr. Cornfoot is healthier -- mentally and physically -- than about 95% of the werewolves here and ---
I got sidetracked again. Where was I? OH! Sex! Yes. I sort of held out for, oh, maybe a week, before having sex with Stephen after I confessed that I was still in love with him. But, my GOD, it had been a long time since I orgasmed like that. Say what you want about former Ravenclaws, but, for the record, not all of our books are academic in nature. I have all these fantasies involving Stephen these days, and they're so much fun to think about. Though I have to say, sometimes it's really uncomfortable; especially when you're sitting across from the Bulgarian emissary and thinking about how good your boyfriend (I guess I can call him that? I should ask.) feels when he's buried to the hilt inside you. The longer I think about the sex, the dirtier I get. Across my desk. Against the wall. On the kitchen counter.
Crap. Someone's calling me. I'll go and see what's going on.
Doesn't Padma Cornfoot have a nice ring to it?

Maybe this is a little strange to say, but I've never seen a rainbow that big and bright. It was really pretty, and I wished that I was some sort of photographer so I could take a photograph of it.

A mime on the Lane doesn't bother me, but a mime who keeps following me around and trying to pick me up? That's a little scary.
I'm thinking about going to see Bryce play tonight.

It was a little amusing to see a few of the girls in the office slip and slide their way across the office to one of the adminstrators. It wasn't so amusing to see them er... practically copulating tearing each other's clothing off in the middle of the office.
